Exploring the other Equipment

Do we need more equipment?

If you are asking this question, the answer is yes (if you want to go full professional), this depends on your budget. There are other equipment that you need to own if you are taking photography seriously. Here is the list of different equipment and its use.

 

Filters

The filter lens would protect the camera from falls and scratches and in other cases, it is used to control the light of the scene and to create special effects.

       

       

Tripod

This would act as a stand for your camera, this is used to support the camera and keep it still when you are taking pictures. Yes this would save your arms when they are already feeling tired. This can be in hand held form or a big stand.

Camera Bag

 Of course you are going to need a bag, would you just get people to hold all these things for you. This one bag can hold your camera, flash, tripod, camera lenses, and more. A camera bag can be in suitcase form or backpack form.

Reflector

In photography, a reflector is used to reflect light towards the subject or a scene. This piece of equipment is useful for creating fill light or lessening shadows.

Memory Cards

Where else would your pictures be saved? Your brain? No, no, no, it would be saved here in the memory card of your camera. You can then remove the memory card and transfer it to your computer to view and edit the pictures there. Think of it like a USB.

Zoom Lens

Mainly used to zoom in and out from a subject, giving the feeling that the subject is getting farther away or closer without moving the camera. Did it not seem obvious what zoom lenses could do?

Flash

This would compensate for the lack of brightness in your picture when you are taking pictures indoors in poorly lit rooms or at night.

Polarizing Filters

Are your skies too bright? This is the piece of equipment you need because this kind of filter darkens the sky in your pictures and also suppress glare from bodies of water. It can also manage reflections.

Battery and a Charger

Well obviously the camera can't last forever, remember to pack your charger in the your camera bag, the charger is used to charge your camera so that it doesn't die when you are taking pictures. This is a necessity, never forget this piece of equipment.
